John Lodge lodged in the Des Plaines and St Charles areas 2 months ago when he came and played the 2 respective theatres there.

Lodge's family said that he died "suddenly and unexpectedly." The family added that Lodge "peacefully slipped away surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly."

 

Had the privilege of seeing the Moody’s July 17, 1981. They played at Poplar Creek in support of the Long Distance Voyager album. Justin, John, Graeme, Ray and Pat Moraz (replacing Mike Pinder) were the band members. The music outdoors on a warm summer night still sticks in my head as one of those “moments in time.” IMO there music is timeless.

 

BTW the song “22,000 Days” on the Voyager album represented the average lifespan of useful time we have on earth. Enjoy the ride. IMO listening to music and fishing qualify as time well spent.
