One of the greats. Bass player for The Moody Blues. Wrote 'Ride My See Saw' & 'I'm Just a Singer in a Rock & Roll Band'. Indeed, he was.

Dead at 82. I can't imagine what my life in the 60s & 70s would have been without his music.

John Lodge lodged in the Des Plaines and St Charles areas 2 months ago when he came and played the 2 respective theatres there.

Lodge's family said that he died "suddenly and unexpectedly." The family added that Lodge "peacefully slipped away surrounded by his loved ones and the sounds of The Everly Brothers and Buddy Holly."

Had the privilege of seeing the Moody’s July 17, 1981. They played at Poplar Creek in support of the Long Distance Voyager album. Justin, John, Graeme, Ray and Pat Moraz (replacing Mike Pinder) were the band members. The music outdoors on a warm summer night still sticks in my head as one of those “moments in time.” IMO there music is timeless.
