Big OL SKUNK. Was out there for two hours today after work. I got some power pro for my spinning setup and wanted to try it out. never used braid before. i liked it alot. It was my first time at IG so i really didnt know were to fish. I parked by the pier and fished infront of my car.

I dont think theres one hotspot. Everyone that fishes there has their own favorite spots.

Start on the part of the lake that is on the NW corner, water warms up there first. As the season progresses you can fish along all the entire shoreline. The areas around the bridges are good. The reeds on either side of the fishing pier are a favorite place of many guys to fish. Good Luck !

JungleJim hit it right on with the water warming up on that side of the lake first. But I Believe it is the NE corner with how the sun rises and sets ;) Bass might actually be on their beds on that side of the lake already. I wouldn't doubt it.

Thanks for the report. You will get em next time man. There is always a next time!

Best tip: Rent a boat!! You will catch so many more fish on this lake if you rent a boat. You can work the outside weedlines, and fish the offshore rockpiles and structures.

The boat rentals are only on weekends (sat- sun) as posted on their sign. But if they ever try charging me a weekend rate on friday again im going to bring up how they call weekends sat- sun when its boats and they try calling weekends fri- sat - sun for entry fees?

Yeah, but from april 15th to may 25th, you can only rent boats on the weekends. After may 25th, you can rent one any day of the week. That is what I'm trying to say.

Wrong again. I almost rented a boat last week Thursday but chose not to cause I didn't wanna rent one for only a hour.
