Someone should bring elote. Even though Bob disagrees I believe early season corn is better if y
ou brine it for 12-24 hours. I guess if no one steps up I might. We need more grill space. Do we have an accurate head count?

Not sure what is going on that weekend. But very possible. Sounds crowded. ;)

Fished it a few times on the kayak. Fishing seems to be great or horrible. Overall a fun lake.

Had no idea booze was allowed. Seems funky to me. They don't like the ice guys, I know that.

Well, I picked up my WS Ride 115 at a freight terminal last Monday. Came with a paddle. Bought a vest, rod holder. Made a PVC kayak stand Saturday. Cut a piece of cutting board and made a trax mount for my rod holder. Then yesterday used up the remainder of my Bass Pro gift cards to buy the Lowrance Elite-4x DSI fishfinder. Now I need to fashion a mount for that. I should be ready for my maiden voyage at paddle palooza. Seems like the best place to start, as there will be plenty to pull me out on my first spill,LOL.

O.K. looks like this thing is finally starting to heat up so let's make sure that we have verything covered.

As for myself, I'm bringing:

(1) Gas grill & gas
Chimney starter and starting supplies
Bag O charcoal (kingsford of course)
A salad that involves beans
Vegies to be grilled

Are we still short a grill? Maybe I can make something happen but no promises.
I think we have commitments for plenty of beer.

What is still lacking?

If I show I'll try and bring the middle weber I rebuilt. I think a trip to car wash and it'll transport well.
Of course I could figure a way to mount it to yak trailer.

How would a gallon of chilli made off of a U S Army receipt but changed for senior citizens (no sugar, salt and easy on spices) sound?

I could not over the last 50 years find a way to pick out those things so I could give it to sick folks but it is real easy for

When I make the chilli I make it in FIVE GALLON batches and freeze it.

The problem is that most of my friends keep getting OLDER and have health problems.

All I have to do is take 4 quarts out of the freezer the night before and I am good to go.

YOU bring your own POISON :D :D

Nathan, sounds great, only thing is, I don't eat shrimp. Technical difficulties. But thanks for the offer! I'll be cheating on the no sodium for a bit that day anyways. I usually do once per week. Doc says it's ok once in a while.

Briskly roll them between my hands and lightly char on the grill in order to "activate" them; served that way that make a nice compliment to any type of grilled meat.
