I haven't done that in a few years. I wonder if you're catching ones that have started reproducing. You never know. I forget how many I sent up there. One day it was a good dozen.

How'd you do on Friday? I warned you I tagged them all.

You were warned. :D
I told you I caught 4 and tagged 8-10 more.
You were lucky to get those two.

I didn't fish around that lay down much. Didn't feel like getting hung up.

I need to get back there. Want to get to the other side and I think the water has come down enough. 1310 right now. Just about perfect.

great work man, glad to know I'm not the only one struggling on the fox the past few days!

Nice Report & pics dude. Been struggling to find time to go lately w/ work & sports schedules (personal & coaching). When I do go out, fishing has been so-so at best.

Made it out early yesterday. Weather was a lot crappier than earlier forecasts suggested. Water down enough to cross to my desired spot. Problem was another wader had same idea. Didn't see him setting water on fire, so I didn't get too depressed. Missed one on a spinnerbait next to a deadfall.

I know the river is slower when while driving upstream the wife called and said her plans cancelled. Hadn't seen much of eachother lately, so I actually went home. Was "rewarded" for ditching fishing --- I can wait til it warms up a bit. Was comfortable in breathables, but not nearly as much a couple weeks ago..

Keep the posts coming until I have time to invest in an actual outing that lasts more than an hour...

Anyone pulled a water temp in the last few days?

Good question Sam... been monitoring the flows, but knowing water temps before heading out could prove useful.

It's been low 50's the last couple days in Elgin. I haven't fished the river myself in over a week, but hoping to get out later in the week.

Nice report, Hng.

Thanks Waterguy. Downloaded a water temp APP for my droid, but it's one time use only, so been waiting for just the right time...

I measured as high as 56.5 last night on the river, FYI. Not warm enough to get the flatcats moving, unfortunately.
