Woke up at 445 AM and left the house and headed for Deep. Arrived at 530 and was on the water by 545. The temp was low 70's with pretty much no wind for most of the day with decent cloud cover and a rain shower here and there.

We first headed left of the boat rentals toward the inlet. I started out casting spinnerbaits and came up with nothing, while my brother casted a flick shake and came up empty.

Then we headed out to deeper water, 6-8 feet throwing rattle traps in orange and black and we each picked up 2 within 10 minutes:

After that died down we headed to fish the docks. Both of us were throwing flick shakes wacky rigged. I picked up two right away:

After fishing the docks we headed to the lily pads to try out some froggin'. We didn't have braided line and it was a pain so we headed out of there within minutes and headed back to our first spot and threw senko's, spinners, traps and flick shakes and got nothing. We decided to give the docks another round and we each picked up one more fish there. By this time it was 1145 and we had about 45 minutes left so we headed back to our first spot (incase you can't tell, we love this spot). We didn't get anything right away, I decided to change up the color on my senko and throw a pumpkin color with black flakes texas rigged and picked up this nice fish, 2lbs 10oz:

We finished the with 11 fish, I caught 8 and 3 for my brother. Out of the 11 fish, only 2 or 3 weren't keepers. In the end, this ended up being my most productive day at Deep so far..

Nice job Tony. Good day to be out there!
Seemed like a lack of wind though?
Sounds like your gettin good at managing your spots! That's the way to do it!
I caught my fish the other day in 2' around docks to 8' around weeds. I just kept
moving and moving and in literally 3.5 hours had fished most of the lake!

Nice work Tony.
Rattletraps is something I was thinking about last night when I was reading WBC's post about the water being so murky. I bet WBC is putting some loud rattles in those jigs he's been poppin' lately and if he isn't, he should.
Fish that are accustomed to hunting by sight need help when the water loses its clarity. That's prolly sumin you thought of also.
BTW, the only color Senko to use is watermelon.

Nice report and nice job out there!

That last pic sure looks larger than 2/10, but maybe it's just the camera angle.

Congratulations on a great day on the water. I think that last one is bigger than 2lb 10oz. Your modesty is commendable. :)
