milwaukee river smallies

There are seemingly endless amounts of rivers, creeks and their tributaries throughout northeast Illinois.

milwaukee river smallies

Postby hambone870 » Jul Wed 27, 2011 10:04 am

been putting in my time learning a 2 miles stretch of the milwaukee river. its been 3 trips in a row i have fished there and every trips seems to get better and better. fish have been found relating to all types of water. deep pools, current breaks, boulders, eddies, shallow pools, and timber all have produced. jig and twisters, spinners, swimbaits, cranks, and spinnerbaits have all produced fish. the last trip was my best yet and personally caught 15 fish in just a morning wet wade. Not sure what the weekend has in store but wouldnt mind if i ended up back there.

Dude you better get a smallie on the other arm.
