Ceeeeeeedaaaaa.
Live "on the lake" my whole life. Actually a block away...
Great, beautiful clean lake. Lot's and lots' of baitfish! Bluegills and crappies have
always been cyclic. Some good years some bad. I've seen crappie 15" and gills 9" come
out of there, but they're always few and far between. Caught some toad bass over the years,
heard of fish up to 9lbs waay back when. The majority of the bass population is stunted real bad
with average fish around say 10". Loads of 8"-12"ers. Only ever saw a couple muskie? Small, like 14"ers
caught threw the ice. Only seen a handful of pike, couple bigguns though. My dad has pics from when
he was a kid of big ol muskies and pike. Supposedly were some lake sturgeon in there at one time too..
Beautiful lake, private, launch at Lehmann Park and two on the north end. It's not anything more
great than any other lake around. They all have their perks, some more than others.
There's some cool structure out there, neat weedbeds, and one badass ice fishing spot. If you look
at a map of it, you'll see a hole to the west of the island. It's a huge flat about 4-6' and all of a sudden
a hole in the middle of it that you can just about cast across going down to about 19'!
Hope that helps! Great little lake, not really on my list of need to target lakes.
