Upon arrival there were no anglers in the area I was targeting So with excitement I quickly began Fishing, First cast in I hooked up with my first Black crappie of the Day. After a brief explanation in video I release him and a cast or two later hook up again! shortly after my brother arrived to accompany me the rest of the way! I enjoyed myself out there today accompanied by my Brother James.

Hey George, love your videos and I've watched them all. In fact, they were a big part of getting me so hooked on fishing, especially downtown.

Given your experience with the Chicago river, do you think there would be much crappie/bluegill action between the lake and the Lasalle or Orleans bridges? I had good luck, pulling bass from out of the slack corners near bridges over the summer, but don't really have any experience with pan fish, especially this early in the year. What do you think?

Thanks!

I enjoyed the lassale Bridge, But I can only limit my experience to summer time down there as well. I can say the depths are definitely in our favor. If i was fishing their tomorrow I wouldn't stray far from what I've been doing in my videos. Light line, And close to bottom fishing might be key. I usually find bottom and stay about a foot up. You can just throw jigs, of coarse live or powerbaits will give you a better shot if your not much of a Jiggn man. By that Smallie in your pro. I'll say that you are  I don't usually use any scents or Baits because I'm a mover  And once you find them, you won't need much to catch them. Waters colder there Stay close to the bottom, Work your lure's slow. That's a decent start and the fish will tell you how to adjust from there  You may pull out some Perch or trout still in the River.

Happy Fishing!

Let me know if your up for a spring time River Walk slayin

Thanks for the tips. We should definitely hit up the river walk. I live close and I'm down to go anytime. Not sure if I can wait til spring. If this warm weather keeps up, you might have to put me on some of those north shore crappies before then

Great videos! I really need to get out there and hit some open water. You have inspired me to go hit some of the open water in my subdivision ponds.
