After getting out of work early While walking over the bridge Right away I notice a Big Metropolitan water reclamation Boat docked along the Merchandise Mart where I work. This is definitely out of the norm as boats usually Never dock along this section, Further progress over the Bridge I notice the john Boat coming from the "T" of The River Where the Main Branch meets the south and north Branch and was heading towards the Lake.

All the way in the back ground you can see the Big boat docked along the mart.

This photo is the day after the big rain, To show how high the water actually got. An under water parking garage on wells also flooding sending tons of fuel into the River. The city also keeping the Lake Michigan Locks wide open to allow all the excess water into the lake to not allow any major flooding in our city. This also made the city close all beaches to prevent anyone from any contamination.
The high water and open locks caused concern about the where about of any of the species classified in the Asian Carp group. So for a safety concern I believe they sent out the shocking boats, Although the specific area's I've personally seen them is the only areas I could not imagine one of these carp being, But whatever ...

Here's the small boat equipped with a Driver and three netters, As well as electric claw like things displayed in the front. They'd hover the shallows giving jolts, definitely not full power but enough to send fish swimming disoriented up to the surface.

Once I noticed them getting ready to head under the bridge I ran up to try and get a picture of the Live well.
There were three total, One for Bass, rock bass, Drum. One strictly for Carp and Gizzard shad. And one on the left looking like small pan fish maybe even crappie. Hard to see in the picture, But what I believed to have saw in person. All these fish placed in these poorly aerated live wells And I'm not positive what exactly awaits them in there future.
Now although discouraged I still made the attempt at trying to Catch a bass. On my only hit of the day and my only fish of the day, I caught this small Rockie (Rock Bass)

Today the water looked much better then yesterday, And although I saw a few bass and missed one. Things are definitely looking way better for me next week
I was able to muster in one bass today, A small one but still very fun in a Beautiful Setting
Caught dead on the bottom in about 12 feet of water.

Well go get 'em this weekend!
And be sure to release so we can catch them next weekend
