Got out with old pro Nolan, this kid has a charm about him that always brings in some nice fish and today no different. 16 Bass with 7 between 18 and 19.75 , no scale but a few 4lbers for sure. He got a beauty in dark on third cast on Black buzz. 3 hours of Bass fishing we did well. Pike fishing 3 hours only 2 snale pike on a cloudy cool day made no sense. 4inch senkos got all fish very very shallow. No one out there we had lake to ourselves and got lucky with no rain on us. Bass were very aggresive we did nothing special anyone woulkd have done well out there today.

Just a side note after a day of thinkin about it. Once again i really think line is overated . Nolan was throwin 10lb momo, i was throwing 6lb fireline braid. We each caught about 8 Bass and we each had some big fish. This is about the same as far as me and him catchin the same amout of fish in all the times ive been out wit him. IM defintly going with a stronger line at Delly in future , not so much for fish brakin me off. It the big Bass pulling me around boat joista and piersand brekin me. Ive lost or seen lost over 10 really big fish lost in last 4 trips. Im fishing really narrow areas and not much time at all before they head for some structure, and realy tough when im running trolling motor at same time. Sorry for ramblin.

Tip: when those hawgs bite way deep under a dock, try this: set the hook, then give them slack. 9/10 times they will swim out and you are good. hardest thing in the world to do, but if you can, try it it works! it's the only way you can feasibly land fish from under geneva's docks without breaking off.
I can't wait for my little tourney out there in two weeks! Gonna be a BLAST!!
