07.28.12 Delevan

Fished Saturday from 5:30-Noon. Got 5 in the boat, had a miss at the boat and lost one at the boat. Of the landed fish, 2 were dinks that I hoped no one saw me catch, one was 2lb-11oz, one was 3lb-12oz and the best was 4lb-10oz. The larger fish were both personal bests. Fished docks and shallow weeds early with nothing, though I did see a few fish but I couldn't get them bite. Moved out deeper and threw back into the weeds with a texas rigged tube to get the rest of the fish. I also had a drop shot over the side rigged with a nightcrawler and pulled out enough good size gills to take home for the wife and kids dinner. Was a great day to be on the water, though I did miss my fishing partner who couldn't make it out. We'll get them next time Ornery Squirrel.

Always quality fishing coming from there, I wish i had the chance to get out there more often. I'm always jealous when I see reports from here, some chunkers no doubt.

I'm sorry I wasn't there to whack those fish in the head with the net, I mean net them for you. The brother in law has been catching evrything lately on tubes including a 5lb plus walleye at Brown's lake so congrats to the tubemaster. I've learned from Coyote and others on the board is to try different things if something not's working, last time time out with the brother in law they wanted smething in green whether tube or a wooly bug and these pigs were caught on a junebug tube. It just goes to show that anything can work on a particular day and don't be afraid to change up
