My girlfriend's granddaughter is turning out to be quite an angler. She no longer afraid to hold fish and enjoys fresh walleye now and then. A 3/8oz jig tipped with a tuffy minnow through the mouth out the top of the back did the trick while anchored up. She insisted she hold this fish all by herself after reeling it in. Her uncle put her on this fish and she'll fish with better anglers now.
Excellent! I still have that little set up in your bottom pic in my garage. I found out at the last minute the grand daughter was suddenly 'too old' for the baby pole last time she was in. Enjoy these times.
Nice! My 9YO has yet to catch her first eye. She's got bluegill, redear, smallies, largies, and crappie nailed down. But the elusive first eye hasn't come to hand for her yet. Very cool post. It's the fish like those that will keep em coming back to the water!
