Shore fished a couple spots this morning looking for some active smallies. With the river so high dabbling the shoreline is about the only way to fish it. The river is still extremely high, but suprisingly was not flowing mud. Only managed one lil smallie on a panfish assasin and a short strike on topwater, but was able to connect with a pretty nice walleye..didn't get a measurement..I'm gonna guess 23-25 inch range.

On my one self timer attempt, I apparently didn't have a great hold on her and she almost hit the ground..was able to recover and release a moment later...

That's funny! Those walleyes always seem to wait til you least expect it and then head shake to try and escape. Especially the larger ones.

Nice Walter!

I stopped down this morning as well for 30 min. Got one smallie off the wall. Another angler out said he got 2 walleye in the 2 hours he was out.

Lol..it does look like i'm winding up to chuck that fish That was actually an action shot of me catching it.. I don't know how I managed not to drop it. Thought I had a good hold on it with the other hand behind the gill plate, but it's been awhile since I handled a walleye that big.
